A technical issue involving NBHA's operational software prohibited the ability to process ACH payments. NBHA mailed participants' checks to landlords and vendors on Friday, February 14, 2025. If you did not receive your payment within five (5) business days, please contact [email protected] so that we can ensure you receive payment. Payments will proceed as normal moving forward. To ensure payment processing, please complete the W9 Form.
NBHA issued a Notice of Public Hearing for the PHA 5-Year Plan (OFND 5-YR PLAN DUE 10/01/2024). The draft plan is available for public review and comment prior to the hearing.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a series of waivers and program updates for the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs that ease many program requirements to enable NBHA to continue operations in light of COVID-19. All waivers are effective as of April 10, 2020 and may be adopted or revert to the standard program rules at any time during the period of availability noted in this document. This document indicates the waivers that NBHA has determined may be adopted as needed to continue to operate and provide critical housing services to our community.
NBHA offices were closed to the public effective Friday, March 20, 2020. NBHA services remain accessible by website, email, mail, or phone. To help curb transmission of COVID-19, NBHA suspended public access to the Central office and PBRA property offices. Implemented actions include: closure of the lobby (clients should email or call), landlord payments continue to be processed, initial inspections continue for new vacant units, annual re-certifications conducted by mail/email/phone, interim changes conducted by mail/email/phone, and suspension of annual inspections.
NBHA understands that residents may encounter difficult circumstances due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and disaster declarations. We will continue to work with residents to discuss changes in income and alternative arrangements for payment. Please contact the office immediately to discuss your rent, income, and payment arrangements. It is very important that you communicate with NBHA about any change in your ability to pay rent within five (5) days of a change in circumstances.
